A little more information on Members of the Leicester Branch ....
In this section we will concentrate on a few members of the Leicester Branch, and learn a little more about them.

IN THE SPOTLIGHT:
Mike joined the Coldstream Guards as a junior Guardsman in 1960 and went straight to the 1st Battalion who were serving in Windsor in 1962.
Whilst serving he visited and served in many locations including British Guiana, Germany, Aden, Chelsea, Tidworth and Pirbright.
He left the Coldstream Guards in 1971 and started up work as a roof tiler. Mike worked for one firm and then started up his own roofing business and
continued this until 1990.
In 1990 Mike bought his first charter boat (Challenger) which he kept and worked for 13 years.
In 2003, Mike sold Challenger and bought a bigger boat (Challenger II) which he regularly takes anglers out on Fishing Trips.
Mike will be 65 in July (2009) and intends to provide this outstanding service for many years to come.

Simon Peck (known by many as Pecker) served in the 1st Battalion during the eighties in Number One Company and the Mortar Platoon.

Gerry Taylor, served in both the 3rd Battalion and 1st Battalion Coldstream Guards.
Now running a shop in the village of Tutbury, Staffordshire (postcode DE13 9LU).
The shop is called SERENDIPITY and it specialises in handmade patisseries, chocolate and fresh farm dairy ice cream.
